Camera Bodies:I am Currently shooting with a Canon 1D Mark 1IV as my primary body and a Canon 7D as my back up. I also use 2 Canon 20Ds mostly for laser trap use.
I purchased this camera in November 2009 and have been incredibly happy with it. I have used Canon pro bodies and personally prefer this body to the Canon 1D Mark III. I love all the new auto-focus options available. In addition its high ISO capabilities seemed to be very similar to that of the Mark III. It has some new features that I find pretty useful.
- Quick Button- Takes you to a menu screen where you can change all your major camera functions very quickly: ISO, shutter speed, aperture, metering, auto-focus setup and more.
- 8 Shots per Second
- Built in Electronic Level
- 1080 HD Video- So far I have used this mostly for capturing my two year old
- Camera Flash works as a master to sets off my 580 Speed Light slaves.
Lens Line Up
I am often asked what lens I use most or which is my favorite lens and I have to say it completely depends on what I am trying to do. I will say I rarely use the 50mm and the 100 – 300mm.
